Apr 29, 2019 at 3:50 comment added Chris Stratton Presumably civilian suborbital space planes fit standard aviation radios in addition to whatever special they carry, though they're probably not routinely talking to ATC during a flight, but instead operating under pre-arrangement; could easily imagine carrier planes doing some coordination and announcement however.
