Not that it went without a hitch ( realclearscience.com/blog/2013/02/… ) but apparently NASA did not feel that a rain storm was much of an issue with that big thing. I suppose for the question, the answer is: might (as in mass) makes right. :D

Mar 3, 2014 at 0:56 comment added ApproachingDarknessFish Apollo 12 launched in the rain. I don't think the rain itself posed an issues, but the spacecraft was struck by lightening. This causes a few issues with the onboard electronics but did not affect the rocket's trajectory.
