How much delta-v it's spent in getting up to avoid the air drag once in orbit?

  • $\begingroup$ As far I know, the effect of the athmospheric drag causes around 2 km/s delta-V loss on orbital launches. $\endgroup$ – peterh Dec 26 '18 at 17:03

  • $\begingroup$ @peterh That's both drag and gravity loss. $\endgroup$ – Loren Pechtel Dec 27 '18 at 5:14
  • $\begingroup$ @LorenPechtel Ok, thanks! Then the drag could be calculated with simple mechanics. $\endgroup$ – peterh Dec 27 '18 at 12:07
