In the preface of "Stages to Saturn", the author Robert E. Bilstein writes:

This book is a technological history. [...] Two other histories, already published, deal with subjects keyed to the Apollo Saturn Program: (1) the development of the Apollo command and service modules along with the lunar module and (2) the construction and operation of launch facilities at Cape Kennedy.

What are the two books he is referring to?

$\begingroup$ I suspected Moonport was one of them, thanks for confirming and pointing to Chariots. I'll add links to web and PDF versions of Stages to Saturn to my post. $\endgroup$

$\begingroup$ @Ludo I'll add them to the "resources" meta post as well. Stages is already there but I'll add the other link you found. space.meta.stackexchange.com/a/250/6944 $\endgroup$ Sep 14, 2020 at 13:52
