The Emirates Mars Mission or EMM includes the spacecraft Al-Amal or “Hope” launched 19 July 2020 (2020-047A, 45918) targeting a Mars orbit where it will primarily study the Martian atmosphere. It was launched by a H-IIA rocket from Tanegashima and will be operated from the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai.
