I am looking for a fact based answer. What are the drag coefficients for a cylinder a wedge etc? (that would be a good start) I know there are other reasons for a rocket to be cyllindrical that aren't related to aerodynamics such as efficiency when mixing the propellants etc... Or is that the exclusive reason why they are cyllindrical? Or is it more related to the logistics or both? If it is due to both things being true, then with 3D printing etc... getting costs of building other shapes down makes it likely we will see a wedge shaped rocket anytime soon? Thanks! I am very interested in the possible answers!
