thisThis may be a stupid question but I didn't find much information online about it. The concept is simple, could we launch a vehicle ininto space forfrom Earth, stop right on Mars trajectory and wait for the planet in order to land on the surface? Would this be the shortest way from Earth to Mars? Would it lower the fuel cost of the travel compared to the Hohmann transfer method  ?
