Why is SpaceX spraying water on their barges?
@pathfinder_EOS No way this is for sound suppression. They no longer spray the water when the booster is landing.

Would a sufficiently deep cavern on Mars provide habitable temperature and atmospheric pressure? Was Dick Tracy wrong?
It's nice to see that my own calculations from a couple year ago were more or less correct :-) I think it might still be feasible if the colonists have 100% oxygen atmosphere and are well adapted to life in these conditions. But even then, living so deep underground does not sound very pleasant.

Did JWST launch directly into an earth escape trajectory?
Why is it incapable of slowing down? Couldn't it perform a rotate-burn-rotate routine? I understand that there could be many reasons why they do not want to do that, but I don't see why it would be impossible.

Why is it not concerning from a cost perspective to have so many engines on Starship?
Everyone is overusing XKCD references these days, but yours was subtle and well-placed.

If an astronaut threw a cup of coffee into space, would it freeze, or boil off into gas?
Why do you think it will be fully vaporized before the pressure reaches zero? The cup of coffee does not have enough energy to vaporize all the coffee, does it? I would expect it to start to boil, the temperature would quickly decrease and if you didn't lower the pressure too quickly, it should stay in one piece due to the surface tension and ultimately become a solid block of stronger coffee.

Which was louder, SRBs or SSMEs?
Funny how the countdown man skips 14 in the second video :-)
